This Lent, we are going to practice simply walking with Jesus. We will do this as we look at the gospel of Mark chapters ten, eleven, and sixteen.
This week, we’ll look at Mark 10:13-16 where Jesus blesses little children that folks brought to him. However, his disciples rebuke Jesus for this act of care and compassion. Jesus said to his followers, “let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” What does it mean that Jesus prioritizes child-likeness? Do you come to Jesus like a child?
