This week, we’re exploring the Last Supper in the gospel of John, where we don’t actually see communion taking place in its typical fashion with bread and wine. Instead we see Jesus invite his disciples into a different sort of sacrament, as he calls them to submit to being served by him and to humble themselves in the same way after he is gone. But what exactly does it look like to do acts of service in remembrance of Jesus, and what are the things that hold us back when we are faced with need? How are we helped by the time we spend “at the table” along the way? Join us as we piece through all that takes place in this special table scene and see how Jesus uses it to point us toward one another, and God, in love.
