In Origin Story, we’ve followed Moses from before birth to wilderness. While we’ve seen the fingerprints of God on Moses’ life, he hasn’t really encountered God outright. This week all that changes in an instant. Moses sees a strange sight and decides to consider it, approach it, and listen. With that posture, he hears God’s voice. It isn’t random or simply universal; it’s particular – addressing Moses’ personal conflict, the struggle of his people, his generational heritage — all at once.
