Sometimes, we all need rescue. We need someone or something to save us from our past, our fears, our enemies (if we have those), and—perhaps most of all–ourselves. In the Bible, God sent “judges” to rescue people and the Bible describes Jesus as this sort of Judge. But what does rescue have to do with judgment? What does it mean to know Jesus as a Judge?
