This Lent at ECV, we’re looking at how Jesus endured the Cross “for the joy set before him” and how we can go and do likewise as we pursue the vision God has given us as a church. God calls us to empathize and serve others, especially when they are on the margins. How can we let empathy guide us as we join in God’s work, and how might that steer us wrong? On Sunday, Patrick will share how our vision can lead us to service that takes seriously God as the creator of all humans, and how the sacrifices we make in service turn our attention to Jesus.
