Christmas involves anticipating greatness. Whether seeing family, getting gifts off your wishlist or perhaps meditating on Jesus’ birth, many of us from different backgrounds are anticipating something great this December. How does this anticipation work for you? Mary, the mother of Jesus, provides an excellent example of how to be near to God as we anticipate greatness coming close to us. In fact, part of Mary’s journey is understanding that the promise of God requires her to draw near when things look good, bad and confusing.
