What if the love that we want is a love that costs? Love is a popular sentiment in our culture. After all, who wouldn’t want more love? We want love to make us happy, to motivate us, and to make us feel connected. What if having more of that love truly cost us something? Our time, our image, our money? What about our lives? Love costs us. Yet, that cost produces a powerful kind of love. This Lenten season at ECV, we will look at how to pursue a love that costs and what God’s story has to do with that aim. Josh will kick off the series this Sunday by looking at a few stories Jesus shared to illustrate the everyday costs made by a God who loves us.
