This is an invitation to a series of Walk & Talks specifically for Asian Americans* within and beyond ECV, co-led by Michelle Ting & David de Leon Saturday, Nov 7th at 9:00 am, — Location will be announced later. This will be a time to situate ourselves within what God is doing among Asian Americans at ECV, the city of New Haven, and broader movements for racial justice, particularly in light of anti-Asian racism that spiked during the pandemic and the clarity with which white supremacy is expressing itself at this time. Each week, we’ll meet, pray, pair off, and engage in such questions as: How will you know you’re home? / What do you know about estrangement? Who is responsible for the suffering of your mother? What are the consequences of silence? Who are you & whom do you love? We hope you’ll take this opportunity to gather while it’s warm and dive deep into questions capacious enough for God to meet us wherever we’re at, no matter where we’re at in our journeys with Jesus, Asian American identity/community, and racial justice.
