Walk of Remembrance

June 15, 2021 6:00 pm June 15, 2021 7:30 pm America/New_York Walk of Remembrance

RESCHEDULED BECAUSE OF RAIN: Join us Tuesday, June 15 at 6:00 pm, for a Walk of Remembrance, at the New Haven Botanical Garden of Healing —105 Valley Street, New Haven Over the last several weeks, you may have noticed the rise in violence around our country. A couple of weeks ago, we took time to reflect on One Year Later after the unsightly deaths of loved ones like George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, and Breonna Taylor— deaths that called our nation’s people to reckon with the sin of racism, prejudice, and violence. It does not miss us that this sort of violence doesn’t just happen nationally, but we remember that it happens in our city.  We would like to take time to remember the names of people in our community that have been victims of gun violence. We will take time to pray over those lost and their loved ones, and we will meditate on real ways that we can be apart of change in our city. If you have more questions, email our leader of this time together, Ellen at ekebabian@gmail.com.
