How to Become a Peacemaker: A Practical Nonviolence Workshop

February 11, 2021 8:10 pm February 11, 2021 9:30 pm America/New_York How to Become a Peacemaker: A Practical Nonviolence Workshop

Join us on Zoom on Thursdays at 8:10 pm as Josh leads us in a workshop where we’ll dive deeper into understanding and learning to practice nonviolence and peacemaking. Thursdays, Josh will provide a space for dynamic engagement for how in the world we could actually become peacemakers ourselves! It’s easy to clap for Jesus but tremble at the prospect at us showing his courageous love in our lives. Thursdays will provide an interactive time to step closer to living an ordinary nonviolent life long before any march, protest, or civil disobedience. If we aren’t ready to be a peacemaker amidst conflict at home or at work, it’s hard to imagine that we’ll be ready on the streets. This Thursday, we’ll examine the violence that we knowing and unknowingly carry and how to bring God’s peace to our wound-up ways. We start officially at 8:10pm, but Josh will open up the Zoom at 8 to address any questions from last week’s message. After a short prayer at 8:10, we’ll cover a few more questions from Sunday’s message then launch into our topic for that week. Our aim is to meet for 90 minutes and, if we run over that, not to go past 10pm. Join us. Zoom link: https://zoom.us/j/92723480678
