ECV Socials: Kensington Playground Call Bank

October 18, 2020 11:30 am October 18, 2020 12:30 pm America/New_York ECV Socials: Kensington Playground Call Bank

The first in our series of events called “ECV Socials: Sponsored by your friendly neighborhood backyard gatherings” — Sunday, October 18th, from 11:30AM-12:30PM ECV invites you to join the Kensington/Dwight BYG to make calls to your local alder to help save Kensington Playground! The Backstory:  On Monday, October 19th, the New Haven Board of Alders will be making their final decision to vote yes or no to selling our neighborhood’s Kensington Playground to The Community Builders(TCB) for $1 to develop it into more affordable housing. Many community members want more affordable housing, but not at the expense of green space (especially during a pandemic). We are asking folks in various districts to call their alders and ask them to vote no on this plan. Feel free to make calls on your own, or join us (socially-distanced) at Kensington Playground  (17 Kensington Street). We hope you’ll say yes to loving your neighbor/s through tangible action! #Mark12:31 nities) For more information visit: https://www.kensingtonplayground.org
