During this year’s Advent season we have decided to partner with Christian Community Action, one of our local nonprofit organizations, for a food drive to support families in need. Our drive will start December 4, 2020 and you will be asked to drop off your donations on December 20th at the church. This year we are looking to help 20 families by creating 20 food baskets for their Christmas holiday. Here’s what we would like to have in each basket: – Frozen whole Chicken or Ham – 1 box Cereal/Oatmeal – 1 can Vegetables (green beans or mixed) – 1 can Yams – 1 fruit or cream pie – 1 box/bag of rice or mashed potatoes – 1 box Pasta – 1 can Pasta Sauce – 1-2 cans Soup – 1 can Gravy – 1 bottle Juice – 1 box Stuffing – 1 Protein = Beans, tuna, peanut butter (& jelly) There are a few donation options: 1) Sign up to support an entire basket for a family, 2) Sign up to purchase individual items in each basket, 3) Donate money to this food drive effort. We hope that you will lean into generosity this season as we all work to support one another and bring abundance to our neighbors.
