Ash Wednesday is a traditional day of repentance that marks the beginning of the season Lent. At ECV, we choose to enter into repentance by standing in God’s presence together, reflecting on our lives, lamenting with one voice, and sharing with one another a hope for transformation. Join us on Wednesday, February 17th at either of two services to observe Ash Wednesday, one at 8am and one at 4pm. From 8:00-9:00am, we will meet on the steps of FSUMC at the corner of College and Elm. As people arrive, they will be given instructions for moving individually or in family units through stations of personal reflection, prayer, and embodied ways of representing our repentance.
