Ash Wednesday is a traditional day of repentance that marks the beginning of the season Lent. At ECV, we choose to enter into repentance by standing in God’s presence together, reflecting on our lives, lamenting with one voice, and sharing with one another a hope for transformation. Join us on Wednesday, February 17th at either of two services to observe Ash Wednesday, one at 8am and one at 4pm At 4:00pm, we will meet in Edgewood park at the spot where Hobart Street intersects with Edgewood Avenue. Spreading out, we will walk together over a short distance through the park, enjoying prayer and silence together while stopping at stations that allow us to embody our repentance.
