As we move on from Galatians, one concept from ‘A Mature Freedom’ is striking as an important practice for our community: imagination. What does it mean to pursue an imaginative life where we posture ourselves as if we are something though we are not? This exercise does not have to be a self-indulgence. Rather, it could be a powerful way of loving our neighbor. Paul, an ancient church planter, seems to recommend using our imagination to help us envision God’s Kingdom coming to our lives, our city, and our world.
